Precordial pain
It is an unpleasant, causing suffering sensation which is localized in the middle part of the chest behind the sternum and also spreading to the area just below the left nipple. It may be persistent or appear suddenly in rest or following physical effort. The most dangerous are the situations when it appears rapidly in rest and is of much intensity. It can have burning, crushing, stabbing or squeezing nature. Most often it is a serious sign of heart disease.
