Hyperhidrosis
It is an excessive sweating, a disorder characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Most common forms of that disorder are excessive sweating of the underarms (axillary hyperhidrosis) or of the palms and soles of the feet (palmoplantar hyperhidrosis) or of the whole body (generalized sweating). The perspiration takes place independent of temperature and emotional state although some stressful situations (e.g. anxiety, anger) or food and drinks may exacerbate the condition. Most frequently it appears among people who are totally healthy apart from that condition and is the reason of much life discomfort. The reason of that disorder is unknown but the dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system is believed to underline that condition.
