Cough
It is a reflex reaction of the body consisting of a sudden, often repetitive, spasmodic contraction of the bronchial muscles and lung tissue and also a contraction of diaphragm and abdominal muscles. It results in a violent release of air from the lungs which is usually accompanied by a characteristic sound. Coughing is an action the body takes to get rid of substances or foreign bodies that are irritating the air passages.
