Elevated blood-pressure reading
The value of the blood pressure reading which is ≥ 140 mm Hg for the systolic blood pressure and/or which is ≥ 90 mm Hg for the diastolic blood pressure. It can appear among healthy people as an incidental occurrence while emotional or heavy physical stress. However it may also exist as a constant state and then it becomes a reason for a diagnosis of the hypertension which is a serious disease. The elevated blood pressure is most often asymptomatic, but when this condition lasts longer morning headaches can appear. They are localized in the occipital area and are subsiding once the head is elevated. The other possible symptoms are: dizziness, whistling sound in the ears, anxiety, pain in the chest, palpitations.
