Anal fistula is a thin canal covered with inflammatory changed tissue, which connects lumen of rectum with skin surface. Usually this is a residue after spontaneous perforation perianal abscess. Anal fissure, ulcerative colitis and Lesniowski-Crohn Disease are the rarer causes.
