AMR Calculator

Active Metabolic Rate

What is AMR?

AMR (Active Metabolic Rate) is the amount of energy spent by the body during a variety of activities. Your AMR is the total amount of calories burned through different types of exertion throughout the day. Examples of these activities are: walking, dancing and reading. AMR does not include the amount of energy spent by the body at rest.

Why is AMR so important?

AMR together with BMR determines the general metabolic rate, so knowing its value you can count your total energy requirement [[[h]]] and find out how many calories you need to achieve your perfect weight.

Calculator of burned calories vs. AMR calculator

The best approximation of expanded calories would be given by our calculator of burned calories. Unfortunately such an estimation of energy expended daily would be time consuming. For this reason we have prepared its simplified version – the AMR calculator. We have divided all the activities included in the calculator of burned calories into five levels (from very light to very heavy) and included a few examples for each category to allow you to determine where each activity might fit. These estimated values should be used only as a general guideline.
